Are you ready to contribute to the financial backbone of an international company playing a key role in the green transition? As an Accounting Specialist in our Travel Expense Management (TEM) team, you will help ensure that financial transactions are processed efficiently, accurately, and in line with global standards. You’ll become part of a collaborative Competence Centre in Kaunas, where more than 180 colleagues contribute across corporate functions to support NKT’s global growth. This temporary position with the possibility of extension is an opportunity to gain international experience and grow in an evolving workplace.

Ensure high-quality accounting processes in a global finance hub

In this role, you will support key accounting processes related to travel expense management while collaborating closely with colleagues across functions. You will handle financial documentation, support month-end close activities, maintain internal controls, and contribute to process improvements. You will work in our modern Kaunas office within the Shared Service Centre and contribute to delivering accurate and timely financial results.

Your responsibility will be to:

  • Process incoming invoices, corrections, and employee travel and business reports in line with accounting standards.
  • Participate in period-close procedures and prepare accurate reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Support senior colleagues in legal compliance tasks and audit-related requests.
  • Perform balance reconciliations, confirm supplier balances, and provide accruals to the GL team.
  • Send requests to update core data and support KPI reporting, contributing to initiatives that enhance processes.

You will be part of the TEM team based in Kaunas and will collaborate cross‑functionally with both local and global teams.

You also have:

  • 1–3 years of experience in accounting (AP/AR/GL).
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with SAP or another ERP system.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • International experience or working in a global environment.

Salary range for this position is from 2200 Eur to 2350 Eur Gross.
