NKT Lithuania is looking for a motivated, curious and goals oriented Senior Accounting Specialist to join our Travel Expense Management team and become a part of our growing global team in Kaunas. What can you expect from the position? 

You will be based in a modern open space office in Kaunas and as Senior Accounting Specialist in TEM team  you will be playing a crucial role in ensuring that all transactions are processed with efficiency and quality according to predefined standards and work processes, and helping accounting specialists perform according to standards. You will be expected to work with teams across the organization, handle queries from customers in a timely manner as well as deal with financial paperwork, and initiating process improvements. Your main tasks will include but not be limited to: 

  • Processing employees travel and business reports, submitting Internal controls (Compliance). 

  • Processing incoming invoices (and their corrections) according to local, international and industry specific accounting requirements. 

  • Submitting requests to Master Data and creating new users’ profiles in the SAP Concur system. 

  • Participating in period-close procedures, delivering accurate reports to clients, preparing daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly documents, and supporting Team Leader on needed analytics. 

  • Confirming suppliers’ balances, performing verification and reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts, providing accruals to General Ledger Team, and monitoring the financial transactions while checking and reviewing supporting documentation. 

  • Providing figures for KPIs calculations and analytical insights on operational performance. 

  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements, participating in assigned projects in order to support business needs and priorities, communicating with external SAP Concur consultants while facilitating needed changes. 

  

What do we expect from the candidate? 

Do you thrive in a challenging environment and are used to managing your own tasks while at the same time supporting teamwork, both physically and virtually? You could be just the right candidate if you are motivated and your analytical skills with attention to detail are supported by: 

  • 2-3 years of experience in accounting, accounts receivables/payables/general ledger accounting from a Shared Services organisation or a major company. 

  • Qualification in Finance & Accounting, with an in-depth knowledge and a good overall picture allowing to perform with little guidance (Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related discipline, higher commercial certificate or similar). 

  • Good command of Microsoft Office tools and MS Excel in particular. 

  • Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system and international experience. 

  • Audit experience would be an advantage. 

  • Fluent written and verbal English.

Salary range for this position is from 2700 Eur to 2900 Eur Gross.
