Tax Specialist

NKT, a leading cable producer with Headquarters in Denmark, is seeking a skilled Tax Specialist to join our Tax team in Kaunas and navigate the complexities of tax regulations and accounting practices with us. This is an opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking organization that values innovation and high quality. You will report to the Senior Tax Manager and work closely with our tax team in Kaunas, Lithuania, with occasional travel required.

What can you expect from the position?
As a Tax Specialist, you will oversee our company's compliance with tax laws and regulations while optimizing our tax strategies. Your tasks will be to:

• Maintain general and tax accounting and bookkeeping in compliance with local, international, and industry-specific accounting standards.
• Participate in VAT-related period-close procedures to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Collaborate with the VAT outsourcing compliance partner to establish, develop, and optimize VAT compliance processes.
• Manage compliance activities related to VAT, including foreign VAT collection, audits, authority audits, and statistical reporting, in coordination with outsourcing partners.
• Ensure proper configuration and maintenance of VAT and Intrastat reporting processes within the ERP system.

What do we expect from the candidate?
We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in international environment. You should be engaged, with effective problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly. Your precision in accuracy and compliance will be essential in this role. You also have:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• 2-3 years of experience in tax accounting and reporting, especially if gained from a Shared Services organization or a major company.
• Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, particularly MS Excel.
• Understanding of internal controls and risk management practices.
• Fluent in English.

Salary range for this position is from 2800 Eur to 3200 Eur Gross.
