Senior Accounting Specialist

NKT is seeking a Senior Accounting Specialist to join our Accounts Receivable team in Kaunas. Support and improve accounting processes and procedures
As a Senior Accounting Specialist, you will have an important role in our international environment. Your role will be to issue invoices, handle incoming payments, participate in period-close procedures for Accounts Receivable, and work closely with the Team Lead on specific projects and continuous improvement activities. You will also handle inquiries from internal customers and outsourcing partners or authorities.

Your role will be to:
•    Solve or escalate unforeseen issues and exceptions
•    Participate in period close procedures
•    Support audit activities and liaise with auditors (both internal and external)
•    Enable junior team members to perform according to standards and act as a mentor
•    Identify opportunities and run process improvement initiatives to provide even greater accuracy, financial control, and efficiency
•    Serve as a deputy team leader

You will be part of a collaborative team, reporting to the AR Team Leader, and be based in our modern office in Kaunas where are ~140 colleagues.

Motivated and detail-oriented accounting professional
You are motivated and curious, with the ability to work well both on your own and as part of a team. Building good relationships with colleagues and stakeholders and a customer service mindset is key in this position. You also have attention to detail, and the aim to deliver a good result on timely manner.

You also have:
•    Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent experience
•    2-3 years of professional experience in accounting, accounts payables or receivables
•    Good understanding of internal controls and risk management practices
•    Good command of Microsoft Office tools, particularly MS Excel
•    Fluency in English

Salary range for this position is from 2500 Eur to 2900 Eur Gross.
